Dr. Evette L. Allen Moore

Diversity Educator/Consultant

Dr. Evette L. Allen Moore is the founder of ELA Education Services, LLC, a company dedicated to empowering young adults. She is a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) and has 10+ years of experience in Higher Education having worked in various areas on college campuses such as new student orientation, academic advising, student involvement and leadership, and multicultural affairs. She uses this knowledge to work with young adults on leadership development, social justice understanding, and setting goals for their future. Originally from Arkadelphia, a small town in Arkansas, her love for working with young adults stems from the belief that where you are from should not determine your success. She often says "Success is predictable with resources, a strategy, and a plan."

Her passion for student success and social justice is evident in her research agenda and community activities. Allen has a research agenda that focuses on the experiences of Students of Color in Higher Education and social justice education. Her research can be found in Higher Education journals such as the International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education, Equity and Excellence in Education, and NASPA Journal about Women in Higher Education.

In addition, she can be found supporting the community through CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) 2nd Judicial District of Arkansas, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Kappa Nu Omega Chapter, ELA Success Ambassadors Program, and various youth mentoring groups.
